We’re excited to welcome Kyra Stewart, Executive Director of Family Service Association of Redlands, as our guest speaker this week! Kyra will be sharing highlights from the organization’s 2024 service accomplishments, including impact numbers, community outreach, and an update on their capital campaign aimed at fighting and preventing homelessness in our region.
Family Service has a long and inspiring history—founded in 1898 by Alfred Smiley, with its first employee joining in 1904. Now, 127 years later, the organization continues to serve with dedication and compassion, operating from two locations in Redlands and Yucaipa.
You may recognize some of their signature fundraising events, including:

- Dinner in the Grove
- Redlands Royalty Pub Crawl
Several Rotarians have even taken center stage as members of the Redlands Royalty Court—Marvin Hudson and Jen Daniel come to mind, both celebrated (and likely fined!) for their generous support and playful participation.
