At our recent Redlands Rotary meeting, we had the pleasure of hearing from Bia, a Rotary International Exchange Student from Brazil who has become a familiar and welcome face at our gatherings. Bia shared an engaging and heartfelt presentation about her life back home, her experiences in the United States, and what it’s been like living here in Redlands as part of the Rotary Exchange Program.
She spoke about growing up in Brazil, giving us insight into her culture, daily life, and the values she holds close. Her presentation was filled with vibrant stories of her travels across California and beyond—highlighting some major bucket list items she’s been able to check off during her stay.
To top it all off, Bia treated the club to a taste of Brazil with some homemade chocolate desserts, a staple in her home country. They were as sweet and memorable as her visit, offering a little culinary connection to the place she calls home.
We are so grateful to Bia for sharing her story, her culture, and her spirit with us. She’s a wonderful example of the lasting bonds and cultural understanding that Rotary Exchange fosters around the world.
