Today’s Rotary meeting was one for the books—a perfect blend of celebration, reflection, and Rotary-style fun as we honored our outgoing president, Thomas Jackson, at the annual demotion luncheon.
With a room full of laughter and gratitude, we paid tribute to a year of thoughtful leadership and service. Thomas has led with integrity, calm under pressure, and a clear commitment to the spirit of Rotary. Naturally, we couldn’t let him step down without a proper send-off.
One of the highlights of the afternoon? A lighthearted Thomas-themed trivia game that tested just how well we’ve been paying attention this past year. From quirky facts to little-known details about his Rotary journey, the questions sparked plenty of smiles—and a few competitive sparks. The winner walked away with bragging rights and a small bottle of prosecco to toast their victory.
We also sprinkled in a few historical tidbits, clever tributes, and playful nods to Thomas’ time at the helm. It was exactly the kind of event that reminds us why we gather each week: to connect, to serve, and to celebrate one another.
To President Jackson—thank you for your leadership and for setting such a strong example. You’ve left your mark on this club, and we’re all better for it.
