Heidi Mayer with YouthHope

Mrs. Heidi Mayer, Founder and Executive Director of YouthHope provided us with her insights and personal stories helping troubled youth in our community.  YouthHope serves at-risk, underpriviledged, runaway, trafficked and homeless youth (14-24 but she said they do not turn people away) in Redlands, Loma Linda, Yucaipa and the surrounding area.  She said they help the youth with everything but getting a driver’s license!  YouthHope’s desire is to see the troubled youth they serve “break the cycle” by getting off the streets and becoming healthy, self-sufficient adults.  In 2024, YouthHope served over 6,000 youth and helped 71 of them to obtain their Food Handlers Certificate.
