TODAY

Neighbors You May Not Have Met – In our club’s effort to impact the local community and to make a difference in the broader world, it is important for us to get to know our neighbors. RON HYRCHUK will interview three special guests who are members of the Redlands Community. The information they share will not only broaden our knowledge of our neighbors locally, but they will also expand our understanding of the residents of planet earth.

LAST WEEK

Escape Craft Brewery owner MELISSA FISHER shared her journey into beer with the Club. MELISSA’S husband JOSH began brewing beer at home as a hobby in 2007, and they took the plunge into retail brewing and distribution in 2015. Since that time, the couple opened a second location, in Laguna Niguel, in 2021, followed by a second location in Redlands the same year. The Redlands “Downtown Oasis” location on Oriental Avenue is in the 1906 Redlands City Transfer Company building, which is evidence of an incredible adaptive reuse project by its owner.

NEXT WEEK

Coordinators for the Smiley Heritage Tours Fourth Grade Field Trip program will be on hand to share their success spreading the love of local history throughout the East San Bernardino Valley. Originally founded as an auxiliary project of the Redlands Assistance League, the group migrated under the umbrella of A.K. Smiley Public Library in the mid-2010s.

ABOUT TOWN – A DAY OF SERVICE

A DAY OF SERVICE

Another successful Day of Service last Saturday working on the Brookside Avenue median. AJ BEECHKO, RON HELBRON, ALLAN GRIESEMER, JULIE MICHAELS, DIANNA LAWSON, ROBERT UMINSKI, (and doubtless others who missed the group photo or were hiding under hats), and even President CHRIS showed up to do their part!

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

It’s crunch time, ROTARIANS. If you’re joining us for the Winemaker Dinner, this is the final week to get your tickets! I’m looking forward to the wine and the menu that’s been put together. And if you get your tickets, I’ll be able to look forward to the company, too! A big thank you to LYNN, ERIC, and DAVID for getting our second fundraiser of the year polished and ready for us.
