THE DIAMOND HEIST DINNER ON JAN 27TH WAS A SUCCESS!

We procured $15,000 in sponsorships. The amounts for total dollars raised and net dollars will be forthcoming. The lucky KATHY LOHR won the diamond earrings!

JAMES BENANTI was the emcee for the evening, and his usual wit and wisdom brought a sparkle to the event and entertained all. Several reliable sources have indicated that “good fun” was aimed at our own DAVID GAUTHIER, who adeptly chaired the event committee. Thanks to the entire team that worked so hard to organize this event!

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

This month begins Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention month in the Rotary calendar. It’s also the anniversary month of Rotary International. Given what we’ve all seen happening around the world, and sadly even closer to home at times, I’d encourage us all to take a moment to consider how we, as Rotarians, might help in our efforts of peacebuilding. We certainly have additional service opportunities in which to participate, programs to inspire and expand perspectives and understanding, and our ever- ongoing fundraising efforts for scholarships-helping the next generation of leadership as they set
off on their academic endeavors. Thank you for your commitment to Rotary and our local efforts! And on that note, congratulations to our Diamond Heist committee for a successful event! Fundraising Chair AUTHIER will provide us with an update this afternoon!
