TODAY
MUSIC COMPETITION

Today, after lunch, we will walk across the street to the First Congregational Church to watch talented musical performers from all three of our Redlands high schools. For the first time, we will partner with Sunrise Rotary to provide these talented students with greater opportunities for cash prizes.

LAST WEEK

WEN CHEN, born in China, gave an informative and troubling presentation on human rights in China. She shared stories of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) arresting and killing members of Falun Gong, a group of up to 70 million that the CCP considers a threat. She also claimed that the CCP is active in the United States through print media, entertainment and social media (TikTok). She is an active member of Amnesty International, focusing on human rights in China. More information is available on her blog: https://wenchenview.blogspot.com/

NEXT WEEK

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

Happy National Irish Coffee Day – a holiday I can get behind! Especially if you have the chance to enjoy one at the Buena Vista Cafe in San Francisco. It’s also our Music Competition Day which, if you can believe, I have never had the opportunity to hear in my five years in Club. So I’m very much looking forward to the program. I also overlooked the fact that we must be pretty zippy today if we’re to allocate plenty of time for our musicians, so you January birthdays will have your birthday quiz next week. Study up!
